The Reichenbach porcelain manufactory, located in the heart of Thuringia, Germany, was renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and artistic designs since its founding in 1900. During the 1980s, it produced high-quality "Fine China" that was highly sought after for international export. While the original era of the state-run factory (VEB) has come to an end and its traditional production lines from that period have ceased to exist, the legacy of Reichenbach’s vintage collections remains a prized testament to German ceramic history.
This exquisite tea pair, produced in 1985, is crafted from porcelain with a warm, milky-white glaze that gives it a soft, sophisticated glow. The central motif features a beautifully detailed red-purple aster, complemented by delicate yellow and blue wildflowers. A distinctive, elegant line in the same red-purple hue encircles both the inner rim of the cup and the outer part of the saucer, creating a perfectly harmonized look. Marked with the rare "Made in Germany" export stamp and "Fine China" designation, this set represents a unique blend of mid-80s aesthetics and timeless Thuringian quality.
